Past, Present, & Future

As time pass by, people’s way of living constantly change in someway, somehow.  Comparing myself from the past, although I cannot be flawless, I have matured to be a better person. I was born in Japan and with my mother’s remarriage to a military man, we had to leave my hometown. Our new “home” had became Oxnard, California. First couple of years, I honestly did not enjoy my time here due to the fact that lifestyle in the states was obviously different from Japan. I was socially awkward and I disliked interaction with others. I preferred staying home with my four siblings rather than attending school. However, when I entered my second year in high school, I’ve noticed myself coming out of my shell. I had way too many friends than I had expected. I was able to express myself freely without feeling a bit of awkwardness. Looking back, this experience made a huge impact in my life even if it started off as such a terrible event in my life.
Currently I attend Oxnard College. I am searching for another part time job because my current job is not offering good hours. Although I am not completely sure on what career I want to aim, I want my career to be beauty related. And since I am not sure on what career I’d like to have, my major is currently decided as business to play safe. I’m an introvert and I love the simple things in life, I usually enjoy my time alone or with few friends rather than going out with a crowd. However, I do enjoy social interaction with others even if I seem really quiet. I’ve recently got my license so I’ve been enjoying the ride in my black truck even though it’s a difficult to park due to the size. Other than that, I enjoy cosmetics and fashion because in my eyes, it’s another form of art to express yourself.
In the near future I’d like to transfer to a university to receive my bachelors in business. Preferably Cal State Northridge but that might change to the local Channel Islands depending on my situation with finance. After my degree, I plan on attending cosmetology school to earn a license so I can start working at any desired beauty places as a hairstylist or a make up artist. I’m good at not touching my savings but I also do a very good job on spending money. So I’d like to calm down on my shopping addiction because I have no room in my closet and I have too many things. Also, I’d like to become fully independent with myself so my parent’s does not have to struggle since they still have four more to get through. My ultimate goal is to be successful so I can return what my parent’s had provided for me and just live happily. I want to be able to say, “I love my life” even through hard times in life.

  4. I think your last sentence is a great goal! Who could ask for more then to be able to say they truly love their life. I would love to travel to Japan someday, I have many friend who have visited there and they've all told me how much they enjoyed their time there.
